17Oct2018: Starting this week we are welcoming six new undergraduate students to the Helms Cahan lab! Emma Gagne, Matthew Hammer, Jessica Wright, Amara Chittenden, Lajla Bednjevic and Angela Maloney will team up to work on microsatellite genotyping of Pogonomyrex DNA- more details forthcoming.

20May2018: We are very excited (and sad) to say goodbye to two of our excellent and hard-working undergraduate researchers, Julia Cline and Kit Lafevre, as they graduate from undergraduate college and move on to bigger and better ventures!

Julia spent a good part of the last two years working on her research looking at cryoprotective properties of carbohydrates in temperate forest ants.

Kit studied the effects of juvenille hormone on foraging behavior in Pogonymorex barbatus ants. See our undergraduate tab to read Kit's abstract. Best of luck to you both!
